Fun, Fearless, Female.

To all my teacher friends: Check this book out! I’m obsessed. It tells such a good story and teaches children a wonderful lesson about the importance of being a good person and a hard worker over living for materialistic values. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fairytale princess fan, but this is just written so beautifully that I couldn’t help but fall in love with Edna and her loafers. 

Guys! I’m so excited about my social studies lesson plan that I’m going to do with my 3rd graders. We are going to read a few different versions of the story Cinderella and take some notes about different settings, characters, etc. We are going to have a large group discussion about the diversity in the different stories and then write our own version of the classic tale. I think the part that I’m most excited about is all the new Cinderella versions that I’m collecting in preparation for this lesson.
